Information about Hendrickson
The history of the brand began in 1913 when Magnus Hendrickson the inventor founded a small truck manufacturing company in Chicago. 13 years later, the company presented the first tandem suspension for trucks. The invention quickly caught up as it allowed increasing the workload substantially for trucks with 6x4-axle configuration.
In 1978, Hendrickson company was bought by Boler holding that consisted of several manufacturers of leaf suspensions and metal bumpers. The brand name remained popular and the group later bought several plants that produced suspension systems, coils, and bumpers for heavy-duty trucks. To fully concentrate on the development of suspension systems and their components, Hendrickson had to sell the truck-making division in 1985. By 2006, Hendrickson became the major producer of suspensions for North American manufacturers of tractive vehicles and trail wagons.
